Scientific illustration

Technology for producing bipedal robots is developing rapidly, especially in Japan. Both engineering solutions based around digital motors and actuators, and software solutions designed around genetic algorithms and neural nets show promise in improving designs of walking machines which can navigate and to some extent understand their environments.
